Hill & Hollow, LLC (“Hill & Hollow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) manages vacation rental properties across multiple booking platforms. Because each platform sets its own refund rules—and because refund policies may vary by season, rate plan, or promotional offer—all refunds are governed by the specific booking channel used at the time of reservation.

Hill & Hollow does not offer separate or override refund terms outside of the booking platform where the reservation was made.

1. Platform-Specific Refund Policies

Refund and cancellation terms depend entirely on the booking platform chosen. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Airbnb

  • VRBO / HomeAway / Expedia

  • Booking.com

  • Google Vacation Rentals

  • Hill & Hollow Direct Booking Partners (if applicable)

Each platform may offer different:

  • Cancellation windows

  • Partial or full refund options

  • Strict, moderate, or flexible policies

  • Weather-related or seasonal rules

  • Owner-specific rules applied during high-demand seasons

Your booking confirmation email will include the exact refund terms that apply to your stay.

2. Seasonal and High-Demand Variations

Certain seasons or events—such as:

  • Round Top Antique Shows

  • Holidays

  • Local festivals

  • Peak travel periods

may have stricter cancellation or refund policies. These terms are set by the booking platform at the time of booking and will be clearly stated in your reservation details.

3. How to Review Your Refund Terms

Guests should refer to:

  • The booking platform’s cancellation policy section

  • The confirmation email sent immediately after booking

  • The platform’s help or policy center

Each platform provides a detailed breakdown of:

  • Refund eligibility

  • Deadlines for free or partial cancellations

  • Penalties or fees

  • Any non-refundable rate selections

If you cannot locate the policy, the booking platform’s customer service is the best place to retrieve your specific refund terms.

4. Requesting a Cancellation

To cancel a reservation, guests must:

  • Use the cancellation tools provided on the platform where they booked

  • Follow the platform’s steps for submitting a formal cancellation request

Hill & Hollow cannot process cancellations or refunds on behalf of external booking platforms.

5. Weather, Emergencies & Special Circumstances

Refunds for:

  • Severe weather

  • Illness

  • Emergencies

  • Travel disruptions

  • Other unforeseen events

are determined solely by the booking platform’s policies and/or applicable travel insurance purchased by the guest.

Hill & Hollow does not issue exceptions outside the platform's established rules.

6. Direct Communication & Assistance

While refund eligibility is determined by the booking platform, Hill & Hollow is always happy to:

  • Answer general questions

  • Clarify which platform to contact

  • Provide documentation to support a cancellation request (when appropriate)
